Fertaike (فِرتَيكي) — meaning "the Lebanese fork" — was born from a passion for preserving the soul of Lebanese cuisine while allowing it to evolve. We craft each product with deep respect for tradition, guided by the belief that heritage foods deserve the same care, innovation, and ambition as the world's finest culinary creations.
At the heart of Fertaike is labne—one of Lebanon's most iconic foods. For generations, labne has been a staple of our tables, loved for its freshness and simplicity. Yet while European cheeses have benefited from decades of refinement, investment, and global recognition, labne has remained largely untouched by innovation—despite its extraordinary potential.
We see labne not as a side dish, but as a cheese in its own right—one worthy of elevation. Our mission is to take Lebanese labne to another level: refining its texture, exploring its depth, and reimagining its possibilities, while staying true to its roots. Our milk is sourced from goats raised in pristine highland areas, near the highest peaks of the Middle East—far above industrial zones, agricultural lands, and human interference. These regions have never undergone agricultural activity, preserving the purity of the soil and ecosystem.
The goats graze freely on wild herbs growing naturally from the ground—herbs that are organically occurring, untouched by pesticides, chemicals, or fertilizers. This natural diet, combined with the clean mountain environment, results in milk of exceptional purity and character.
